Yeah, as the title says. Here, I will describe the writing of every author whose works I've read in ONE word. Yes, one, long-thought word that shows what I think of him or her. Not easy.
Authors are arranged in the order I remember them. So the higher you are on the list, the easier it is for me to remember you. Oh yeah, for your sake, I try not to mention your gender.
What do I mean, you may ask. Close, as in, it's close to my heart, close to the author's own as well. The things described in her stories are simply so...real-life, things that encompass universal themes that I can feel for, no matter what the context set. Things that can be paralleled to things I have experienced, or thought about in real life. Things I can actually feel for so much, because they are so familiar. Whether it's just the emotion, or the entire situation, it's there in my heart somewhere. No, ignore what the penname suggests. CrapPishh's works are not crap. The direct opposite.
She's also my closest FF friend :D We've met a few times.
Hey, you have to read Randomness' writing to know what I mean. The description is...splendid, so well done that you actually feel like you're there yourself, watching it like a movie - better than a movie. It is moving, the way all the scenery and emotions and intensity, everything is brought out. How you can feel the characters' struggles, how you can feel their sadness, nervousness, calm, fear, all so well and impactfully...Simply beautiful.
This is the only way I can really describe it. True, as in...the characters are so real, so much like what real people would be like in their situations. They have their quirks, their imperfections, their secrets - the realism and humanity of Kal's characters are really what makes the story so moving, paired up with amazing storylines. Somehow, I think "true" is an understatement, in terms of the magnitude of emotion it seems to portray. But mark my words, Kal Ancalas' writing is amazing.
Many would understand my choice. Most people think that Sobriquet Nightmare's writing is...confusing, hard-to-understand? I don't think that's the way to put it. Descriptions are extremely figurative, and admittedly, it does get hard to read at times, if you are skimming. But that style of writing simply creates the mystifying mood for itself; no need for any description of the place itself to bring that out. There are so many levels in the writing - the literal meaning, then the implied, the overarching themes that can be read from word choices, the blatant truths and the more elusive implied and inferred. Reading Sobriquet Nightmare's works as a Literature student is a real treat.
No, there really is no such word. But that's exactly what R.M. Sullen's pieces are to me - they give me freedom. The lyric sets, especially. They create feelings and worlds that, though originating from the game, have this fresh new twist and feel to them, the way the are described... Another way in which it's freeing is that the rhyme scheme seems to have no restriction on R.M.'s writing - it's so natural, freewheeling, and everything makes you feel good, whatever the subject is.
